Copper alloy contemporary copy of a nummus of Constantius II (AD 337-61), dating to c. AD 355-61 (Reece Period 18), FEL TEMP REPARATIO reverse type, soldier advancing left spearing fallen horseman. Constantius reigned as co-Augustus in the Asian provinces and Egypt from 340-350, then as sole Emperor from 350-361, excepting the usurpation of Magnentius in the west in AD 350-3. The reverse has a form of the soldier spearing a falling horseman, quite well modelled, of the FEL TEMP REPARATIO type (Cf.
