Sheet lead rolled strip of unknown date, possibly a 'Roman curse tablet' (AD 43-410), as Roman coins were found in the same field. Although this object has been classified as a curse tablet, it is possibly more modern and may have performed an entirely different function, such as a weight or ingot. The strip has a spiral profile suggesting it was rolled rather than folded, which is more typical of such tablets. Base fragment of a large cast copper alloy bell which has broken along the slit between two circular holes, producing a 'dumbbell' shape in plan, with half of one of those holes still extant. Above the slit is an incised linear border and part of the semi-circular 'sun', around the maker's initial 'R' with an annulet on either side, with linear rays emanating from it, decorating part of this half of the sphere. Cast copper alloy spherical bell with a very worn 'sunburst' pattern decorating the lower part. Fragment of a cast copper-alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle frame. Approximately half of the frame and all of the pin bar is missing. The complete end of the frame has four oblique lines on the outer edge. The frame has a straight chamfer to its internal edges and is gently curved on its external edges excluding the decoated outer edge where there is a curved ridge. Whitehead (1996) illustrates a similar buckle on page 91, no. 572, which he dates from c.1575-1700.

Incomplete forged iron knife, with a broken blade at one end, and tapering towards the tang at the other end which is bent at a 45 degree angle. The upper edge and the blade edge have parallel sides in plan, from the break until the blade starts to taper towards the tang, at an oblique angle. One face of the knife is forged and tapered in three stages, as it narrows to the cutting edge, in section. Copper alloy double tournois of Charles II Gonzaga (1609-1631), dated to 1631 on the reverse, who was the son of Charles I, Duke of Mantua and Catherine of Mayenne, and was the Duke of Nevers and Rethel, together with his father. In 1621, he succeeded his uncle Henry of Lorraine as Duke of Mayenne. In 1627 he married his cousin Maria Gonzaga, inheritor to the Duchy of Mantua and the Marquisate of Montferrat. However, Cesare II Gonzaga, Duke of Guastalla and Emperor Ferdinand II did not accept this succession line, leading to the War of Mantuan Succession (1628-1631).
