A small Bronze Age discoidal knife. The flint is dark grey-brown with a glossy patina. The knife has been created by pressure flaking over most of both faces. A flint blade. A tertiary flake of mid grey-flint with a low-gloss patina. There is a small striking platform at the proximal end. On the ventral face is a well-defined bulb of percussion and several waves. On the dorsal face are several elongate, parallel flaking scars creating a trapeziodal cross section. There is edge-gloss along part of one long edge on the ventral face, probably from use of the blade. Date: Neolithic to Early Bronze Age Dimensions: 52 mm x 23 mm x 7 mm Weight: 10 g

Single piece brooch. Very narrow bow. The bow is leaf shaped, tapering to a pointed foot. Small catchplate remains. The bow is decorated with an incised central line with diagonal lines either side at the top end of the bow. The spring is of round sectioned wire, two coils remaining on the left side and broken off at the end of the chord.

Headstud brooch. Short. Flat wings with incised line decoration. Broken chain loop at head. Small headstud with incised outer ring and central dot. Both recessed with traces of enamel. The bow is decorated with 7 lozenge recesses interleaved with triangles at either side. Bow tapers to a large foot knob with incised horizontal line. A long catchplate at the back which extends two thirds along the length of the bow.

A copper alloy zoomorphic strap-end. It is drop-shaped in outline, with the end strap attachment narrower than the opposite end. The rounded end is broad and flat, tapering to attachment end which is in the form of an animal head with rivets for nostrils. Behind this are incised eyes and ears and possibly wings. At the broad end are incised concentric circles. The back is undecorated. Date: Early Medieval - c. 800 - 1000

Possible buckle plate or strap fitting. Sub - rectangular tapering shape. At the wider end there are angled projections. These slope in to the middle where there is a groove possibly for a buckle pin to rest in. Also at this end are three rivet holes (one beneath groove) the two outer of which still retain their copper alloy rivets. The surface is decorated with curvilinear panels of wavy lines.

A late early-medieval to medieval zoomorphic cruciform mount (c. 11th century). Cruciform/quatrefoil shape. Each of the four lugs is pierced for attachment using rivets. Central irregular octagonal boss with moulded zoomorphic or possibly human head decoration. Boss is concave at back. There are many other examples of similar cruciform domed mounts on the PAS database, such as HAMP3572, HAMP-5F6592, WAW-4B1B36, BH-922C44, NMS-5B7B13 (gilded), SF-9E9C95 (enamelled), IOW-C745C2 (relief-decorated), SUSS-D0A326 (gilded).
