A copper alloy zoomorphic buckle pin. The pin is cross-shaped and the main body (excluding the decorative mouldings) is rectangular in cross section. At the top is a large loop with an oval aperture. There is a transverse groove at the base of the loop on the front of the pendant.Below this the pendant extends as a bar before expanding in either side into a crescentic, up-curved wing-like projection. A fragment of a copper alloy buckle of Hawkes and Dunning type IIB, dating to, c. AD 250 - 400. The loop and pin are missing. The openwork integral plate is broadly rectangular and flat with an openwork design in the form of circular holes, underneath which there are rectangular voids. At the edge of the buckle plate, close to the join with the absent loop stub, there is a smaller circular hole which acts as a rivet hole. A copper alloy zoomorphic military buckle possibly of Hawkes and Dunning Type IIA (1961) dating to AD 350 - 450. The buckle is incomplete with the separate bar, pin and plate missing. The outer edge of the single looped frame is decorated on the front face with a pair of moulded fish or dolphins. They have their mouths open and joined by a narrowed triangular moulding. An incomplete copper alloy buckle plate. The buckle plate is rectangular with geometric openwork decoration. Along the outer edge of the plate is a cylindrical projection with an oval cross section which is split into sections by slots for the attachment of pins to the bar of the missing buckle. There are remnants of the bar remaining. Two of the original three evenly spaced slots remain, one retaining the stub of a pin. A copper alloy single loop buckle frame. The frame is oval. There is a constriction mid way along one of the long edges for the attachment of a pin. The longer sides of the front are decorated with two parallel grooves containing small, closely packed transverse lines giving a ribbed effect. The remaining part of the frame is 'M' shaped, missing its axis bar, which would have been situated between the mouths of the two terminal beasts occupying the two ends of the frame.
