A fragment of a copper alloy bow brooch of Hod Hill type. A Hod Hill type with short side wings. At the head is the remnant of the folded tabs to house the axis bar for a missing hinged pin.There are traces of iron corrosion, probably from the axis bar. The bow is narrowed from the head with a transverse moulded ridge beyond which it expands into a lozengiform plate with remnants of side knops and decorated with vertical grooves. A fragment of a gilded, copper alloy plate brooch of the centre boss type. Over half of the plate and all of the glass boss are missing. The plate was oval in shape with a raised rim around an oval recess to house the missing glass boss. The part of the plate framing the recess is decorated with two concentric grooves with a ridge between them and at the edge.
