An incomplete copper-alloy strap fitting. The mount is hourglass-shaped and has a rectangular transverse collar at both the shorter ends. The edges are bevelled on front and rear. A complete Post Medieval copper alloy open work cordate (heart shaped) mount, dating to c AD 1550-1700. It is D shaped in section,with two integral oval section spikes still in situ on the underside, both now themselves bent, but also bent in towards the plate. It has a bifurcate, wider basal end, the junction of the two halves of the mount accentuated by a V shape groove. An incomplete gilded copper alloy sexfoil mount. The mount is domed and gilded on the front. The six foils are delineated by v-shaped grooves and have rounded outer edges with a slight knop in the middle. At the rear are two attachment spikes set on the diameter at either edge behind the tips of two of the foils. Date: Post Medieval to Modern c. 17th to 18th century Dimensions: 37.81 mm x 37.37 mm x 12.96 mm Weight: 10.84 g This is probably a mount for furniture but could have been used on a strap.

An incomplete post medieval mount, dating to c. AD 1500 - 1700. The body of the mount comprises circular and lozenge shaped open work, with a sub circular extension at the apex, pierced for a rivet, still in situ. The lower terminal of the body tapers to a rectangular plate within which is an in-situ iron rivet. An integral hook extends from this plate, facing the rear. The end of the hook is missing. A Post Medieval copper alloy mount dating to c.1500 -1700. The mount consists of a pointed oval moulded plate with two asymmetrical side knops, one on either side at around the mid way point. A post-medieval (1600-1800) copper alloy furniture mount in the form of a stag's head with moulded eyes, snout and ears, and antlers projecting from the top of the head. The reverse is concave except behind the lower snout, which is solid. Here is the remains of a circular-sectioned integral shank, 4.5mm in diameter (surviving to a length of c.2mm). The metal has lost its original patina and is now a purplish-brown in colour. The object measures 43.4mm in length, 35.8mm in max.width, 9.3mm in depth and weighs 11.86g.

Two incomplete post-medieval lead mounts, dating to c. AD 1700 - 1900. The mounts may have been sub-circular, but are now broken. Both have deeply moulded relief decoration in the form of a lion's head surrounded by a mane. The naturalistic facial features comprised of a protruding nose, mouth, eyes and brow ridge. It is circular in form and sub-conical in profile, hollow, two concentric circles around a central incuse pellet. Cast copper alloy belt decoration dating to the Post-Medieval period from the 17th century. This design on the upper face of the mount is of a rosette with a central circular pellet surrounded by five rounded petals alternating with five pointed leaves. The back of the mount has two integral pointed lugs, one of which is complete and 6 mm in length. Read (2001) illustrates a similar example on page 34, fig.19, no.273 which dates from the 17th century.

An early post-medieval copper alloy mount, probably from harness. At the front is a rectangular, D-sectioned plate with moulded decoration of transverse ridges with grooves between (two at the top, three in the middle and two at the bottom). Two integral attachment spikes project from the reverse, one from the top and one from the bottom, both D-shaped in cross section and bent to form a rectangular loop. Dimensions: 14.71 mm x 18.95 mm x 5.97 mm. Weight: 3.21 g. 16th century.
