A cast copper-alloy spherical crotal bell of post-medieval date. The bell comprises two hemispherical domes with a raised circumferential join. The upper hemisphere has two circular sound holes, one slightly larger than the other, with a rectangular loop projecting from the top between them. The loop is formed of an angular bar of rectangular cross-section and is 11.02mm high, 16.01mm wide and 3.91mm thick. The curve of the bell continues under the loop aperture. A copper-alloy coin weight dating for the Angel coin of James I (AD 1603 - 1625) dating to c.AD 1604 - 1619. The weight is circular and bi-faced. On the obverse is a crowned Roman numeral .XI. with smaller letter s below (indicating 11 shillings). On the reverse is St Michael spearing a dragon with the legend MAG BRIT to one side. Date: Post Medieval Diameter: 16.24 mm Weight: 3.84 g The coin weight is slightly light compared to its official weight of 71 grains/4.1g (Withers and Withers 1995: 13).

A copper alloy strap fitting. A bely mount which is broadly phallic in shape. The plate is bilobate at one end with a waisted middle and flaring curved terminal at the other. At the rear are is the stub of an integral attachment spike at the apex and at the opposite end of the long axis is a complete spike which has been bent outwards. An complete cast copper-alloy sperical crotal bell. The bell comprises two hemispheres divided horizontally by a circumferential ridge. The upper hemisphere has two circular sound holes. Part of a complete copper alloy knife handle and the iron knife tang of post-medieval date, circa AD 1756 - 1763.The handle is comprised of two sub-rectangular strips of metal each broken at one end, one currently longer than the other. The missing end would have been the terminal of the handle, the remaining end would have been where the handle met the blade. An incomplete post-medieval copper alloy book clasp, probably dating to c. 1500-1650. The front plate of the clasp survives. It is rectangular in shape, narrowing to a slimmer rectangle, before flaring to an elaborate terminal which is triangular in shape, with four triangular notches placed in two pairs on the terminal end. Possibly a cast copper alloy fragment from a two-part handle from a drinking vessel (probably a tankard) of probable post medieval date (cAD1600 to 1800). The fragment consists only of the thumb rest. One end is a square based straight sided flat plate with two holes with the broken copper alloy rivets still in place. Above this, along the straight top edge, is the groove for the thumb rest bar. A post-medieval copper alloy double loop buckle dating to cAD1500 - AD1650. The loops are both oval in shape and with the outer edge extended into a point with a transverse notch for the pin, one is slightly chipped at the point. The pin is missing. There is a patinated break through one loop but it is only slightly distorted. The buckle has a shiny brown patina, especially on the convex front but is plain on the flat back. It measures 39.81mm in length, 22.88mm in width, 2.69mm in thickness and weighs 4.72g. A similar example can be found in Whitehead (2003:55) no.315 which he sugges…
