An incomplete cast copper alloy bridle fitting (cheek-piece) of late Early-medieval date. The surviving fragment is broadly triangular in plan with the remains of an open circle cutting the wide wedge of the triangle. At the apex of the triganle is a moulded animal's head set perpendicular to the main object. The head has an elongated snout, eyes on the side of its head and ears lying flat on its head.
