A nearly complete copper alloy enamelled Roman symmetrical plate brooch. The brooch is lozenge shaped with four circular lugs on the edge, one at each corner. Each lug has two concentric grooves around its centre. The central lozenge section has one large central cell of the same shape, filled with 16 small blocks of millefiori. Such blocks were formed by cutting slices from a composite glass rod, formed by arranging coloured rods of glass in a pattern, heating them enough to fuse and then stretching them into long thin, composite rods. A cast copper-alloy single-loop rectangular buckle frame from the medieval period (c. 14th century). The frame has three transverse grooves on the widened outer edge; two ridges created form a central pin rest. The sides are very slightly curved. A rectangular belt mount or slide made from copper alloy with scalloped edges. The edges of the plate have semi-circular notches at either end, creating a central block which has two smaller notches on either side. At each end of the plate is a transverse groove. An almost complete Polden Hill bow brooch of Mackreth 2011, 5.b1. Plate 50, Western Group. The wings are semi-cylindrical with capped ends. They house the axis bar which is held in place in pierced holes in the end-caps of the wings. Over the axis bar is a fake spring coil with a chord which passes through a broken pierced crest at the head. An incomplete, copper alloy, T-shaped bow brooch dating to the first or second centuries AD. The wings are cylindrical but taper slightly towards their terminals. An incomplete cast, copper-alloy single-loop buckle frame, sub-triangular with an expanded, rectangular outer edge. The sides of the frame narrow from the outer edge towards the missing bar. There are slightly expanded knops where the bar would have connected to the frame. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Colchester one-piece brooch of early Roman date. The surviving part of the brooch measures 33.4mm by 11.4mm by 13.3mm and weighs 2.6g. It comprises the crossbar (one side of which is damaged), the rearward hook which kept the incomplete chord in place, the curving bow and about half of the spring. The bow is plain and tapers to a point. Very little of the catchplate survives.

A full catalogue has been produced for this hoard but is not offered here; it is available on request from the Department of Portable Antiquities and Treasure at the British Museum.
