A cast copper rotary key. The terminal of the key is trilobate with a circular aperture at the end on each lobe. There is also a small, rounded knop on the outer edge of each lobe. One lobe is broken. Running from between the lobes are low ridges (four in total). Below these are seven transverse ridges running across the tapering end of the key handle/terminal. Fragment of the bowl from a cast copper-alloy spoon dating to the first to fourth century AD. The upper part of the bowl survives, the rest of the bowl and handle are lost to old breaks. The bowl is mandolin shaped with a narrow neck at the top widening into an oval bowl. The bowl is shallow with a flattened rim. At the top of the neck the flat rims join and widen into a transverse bar forming the terminal. On the back the end of the neck is angled in profile, thinning towards the terminal. A complete copper alloy escutcheon from a hanging bowl. The escutcheon has a tear-drop shaped body shape with an integral hook projecting from the wider end. The hook is curved and in combination with the shape of the body results in the whole resembling a long-necked bird. A copper-alloy bar mount (strap-fitting) of medieval date (c. 14th century). The mount has three consecutive lobes with the central one being the largest, which is convex at the front and concave on the reverse. An incomplete copper-alloy strip with five in-line ring-and-dot motifs from a post-medieval wick trimmer. A damaged and broken copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of post-medieval date. It has broken into two unequal parts, with one of the outer edges broken off just beyond the pin bar. The frame has a moulded rosette at the centre of each outer edge. It is D-shaped in cross-section with a flat reverse. The pin bar is narrowed with rounded knops at either end. The pin is missing. A copper-alloy double-looped buckle of post-medieval date. The frame is formed of two conjoined D-shaped loops with angled outer edges; the pin is missing. The buckle is bevelled both internally and externally on the front; more steeply internally. Dimensions are: Length 28 mm Width 18 mm Thickness 2.9 mm Weight 3.097g A similar buckle can be found illustrated in Whitehead (2003, 55; no. 316) and dated to c. 1500-1650, but without any archaeological evidence brought in support of such dating.
