A cast copper alloy signet ring of probable late medieval date. The ring measures 26.4mm in maximum diameter (including the bezel) and weighs 8.7g. The hoop has a D-shaped cross section 4.4mm in width and 2.2mm thick. The shoulders widen to meet with the bezel, which is oval with eight slight facets. It measures 13.6mm by 12.4mm. The die features a crowned letter I with a branch on each side.

The die features a crowned letter I with a cross to one side and a saltire to the other, all within a hatched border.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman lugged disc plate brooch dating t 100-200 AD. Only the pin is missing. A hinged pin would have been attached to a loop on the back of the disc. Around the disc is a plate with a deeply notched, scalloped edge and ring and dot decoration. The disc is raised forward from this plate, so that there is a circular hollow at the back. There is a raised metal rim forming the edge of the disc and a second, concentric division at the centre, in the outer band formed by these are traces of blue enamel. CORONER'S REPORT A hoard of 197 bronze socketed axes, broken socketed axes and socketed axe fragments. A full catalogue has been produced for this hoard but is not offered here; it is available on request from the Department of Portable Antiquities and Treasure at the British Museum. Rather, the axes, all being similar, are discussed as a group. Cast copper-alloy flat plate brooch of lugged disc type. Eight of the ten original lugs remain. At the back the spring was housed in a slightly recessed, rectangular box with a pierced lug at each end to accommodate the axis bar. There is a stub of iron axis bar remaining in one of the lugs. Opposite the spring attachment is the, horizontally projecting, hooked catchplate. The front of the brooch is decorated with concentric roundels of enamel in recesses separated by metal band divisions.
