A complete Medieval to post-Medieval silver-gilt iconographic finger-ring The bezel is bi-faceted, divided by a wide central ridge which is decorated with an incised two by nine rectangular grid. An elaborate cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The frame of the openwork buckle is D-shaped, three dimensional and concave on the underside. It measures 35.23mm by 24.38mm by 18.24mm and weighs 11.33g. The back consists of a fairly thin flat D-shaped band of copper alloy, the straight edge of which is narrowed. The pin is missing. Projecting from the front of the frame there are three moulded animals, probably dogs, in Romanesque style. The central dog, which is standing facing left, is largest.
