A complete copper alloy cast palstave with side loop  and lozenge-shaped flanges. The object has a flared blade with a sub- triangular-shaped depression (on front and back) and a worn central mid-rib below the stop-ridge.   The cutting edge is crescentic and relatively unworn; the blade bevels are well formed and the tips of the blade show little sign of wear or resharpening. The blade from a broken Late Bronze Age cast copper-alloy socketed axe. The cutting edge survives in full, with a minor old chip just off centre, in addition to part of the body defined by roughly straight cut. The damage means that only the end of the socket is visible. The surviving cross-section is sub-rectangular, with the sides expanding out towards the blade end. The fragment is triangular in profile, tapering from the body to the cutting edge. An incomplete small cast copper-alloy object, thought to be the stem and terminal of tongs used for sugar or similar foodstuffs, of post-medieval date (c.1600-1900). The terminal is broadly semicircular in plan with a gradual curve towards the stem of the handle and has a shallow circular dishing within the bowl's upper surface. The stem is twisted to give a rope effect; it is sub-circular in cross-section. The object has a dark grey patina consistent with a probable post-medieval date. An incomplete Post-Medieval copper alloy tinned openwork bridle boss of Openwork Multifoil Type (Maslin, 2020). The boss has a central domed roundel (hollow to the reverse) c.22mm in diameter with a raised flattened knop and moulded concentric circles around. Surrounding the roundel is the openwork decoration are a series of arms (five of eight survive), bifurcating to join with a neighbouring bifurcated arm at the base of a fleur-de-lis. A Late Roman flat-bladed nail-cleaner. Copper alloy, with integral loop, turned through 90 degrees. It measures 40.07mm in length, 10.81mm in max. width and 6.22mm in max. thickness, the diameter of the loop. It weighs 3.96g. The bifurcated end appears worn with some recent damage (a shiny copper alloy is apparent through the darker patination of the metal). The top of the nail cleaner is a horizontal line c.2mm thick. A fragment of a medieval (1250-1350) silver-gilt annular brooch consisting of an incomplete sexfoil boss and a section of frame soldered to the reverse. The boss is in the form of a six petalled flower with a central pellet, each pellet and the centre being concave to the front (and convex to the reverse). A post-medieval (1600-1800) copper alloy furniture mount in the form of a stag's head with moulded eyes, snout and ears, and antlers projecting from the top of the head. The reverse is concave except behind the lower snout, which is solid. Here is the remains of a circular-sectioned integral shank, 4.5mm in diameter (surviving to a length of c.2mm). The metal has lost its original patina and is now a purplish-brown in colour. The object measures 43.4mm in length, 35.8mm in max.width, 9.3mm in depth and weighs 11.86g.

A squashed late medieval/ early post-medieval (1400-1600) silver gilt finger-ring with raised edges and the band between with a central line of raised diamond shapes and corresponding raised triangles to either side. It has some edge damage. Where not damaged or worn, the diamond shapes are clearly filled with three rows of four raised pellets. The triangles are apparently undecorated. A Roman (AD 43-410) copper-alloy penannular bracelet with one squared-off ends, one of which is slightly thicker than the other. The bracelet has a D-shaped cross section. Decoration is confined to the thickened terminal and comprises a short groove just behind the outside edge, with a pair of short grooves behind. The band measures 4.16x1.79mm at the middle, narrowing to 2.84x0.98mm at the narrower end and 4.17x2.72mm at the thickened end. The bracelet measures 48.91mm in width and 50.41mm in length, and weighs 5.22g. The patina is a smooth, shiny and very dark brown.
