A copper alloy probable candle holder. The object is in the form of a stylised cockerel with an integral conical socket, The bird has a long neck with a small, beaked head with stylised comb and wattle. There are moulded crescentic ridges on the sides of the body to indicate wings. The body extends downwards into a pair of legs, each with an angled joint and one complete with an expanded crescent shaped foot. It also extends back into a curved, spilt tail, with hooked ends. A  copper-alloy double looped annular buckle frame. The frame only remains, the pin is missing. The buckle frame is asymmetrical, with one D-shaped loop and the other a slightly elongated, less rounded D-shape with two shallow recesses in the outer circumference, giving the outer edge a flared appearance. A cast lead alloy ampulla.  The object comprise a hollow flask with a sub-circular body and narrowed, open neck with integral lugs either side. One face of the chamber is decorated with deep grooved radiating lines representing a cockle shell. on the other face of the chamber are traces of a moulded design of a crown with cross hatched infill. A complete, large iron Medieval to Post Medieval key, dating to c. AD 1150-1650. The object resembles a Type 8 key (Saunders, 2012). The bow is oval. The stem thickens in the middle, is circular in shape, and extends beyond the bit. The bit is rectangular and symmetrical in shape, indicating it is probably a door key, and has a central cleft. The bit and stem are in line. The key displays some corrosion, and if there originally was any decoration on the stem or bow, it is no longer visible. The object is covered with corrosion products.
