RIC, Vol. IV, Part II, p.118, no. 601. Severus Alexander apparently struck this coinage in connection with an 'enigmatic ... '"reform" in c. 229 celebrated with dupondii inscribed Restitvtor Mon (Alexander standing) and Mon Restitvta (Moneta standing). CO]S P [P], uncertain reverse type, central male figure standing left with a reversed spear right, holding either a thunder bolt (Jupiter) or orb (the emporer).
