An incomplete copper-alloy medieval frame, from a folding strap clasp. It consists of the outside edge with integrally cast ?mitred head, and incomplete and fragmentary arms of the frame. The axis bar does not survive. In profile, the basic frame is [-shaped, with file marks on the reverse. The moulded head adds a triangular dimension to the long side of the [. The face is oval and cut off just over half way by the slanting lines of the mitre, both rising from the outside edge to the middle where they meet. One small pottery body sherd, possibly from a collared urn. Hand-made and thick-walled. Largely black, reduced fabric with an oxidised brownish layer on the external surface. The fabric is tempered with fine sand with some larger pieces of grog, flint and other stone (up to 3mm). The exterior surface retains a band of vertical thumb impressed decoration (4 impressions on this small sherd). Very little abrasion.

Lead pilgrim's ampulla. It has a long slightly flaring neck with a hanging loop each side. The neck is very bent and broken especially on the reverse. Below this is the rounded element. The obverse has a cast line quatrefoil. The upper petal is longer than the others. All have a central longitudinal line. The upper one has a chevron pointing to the centre. Gilded copper-alloy mount and/or pendant, perhaps from horse-harness. The object is axe-shaped, with Style II zoomorphic triple-strand interlace decoration and gilding on the front. The axe form has a narrow, slightly tapered top end with an attachment loop; the bottom edge is broad and convex, and the sides are incurved. The triple-strand decoration is highly stylised, and comprises several elements; it is difficult to trace clearly. Complete post-medieval copper alloy signet ring. The ring weighs 6.02g, has an external diameter of 25.52mm and an internal diameter of 21.90mm. The hoop is 2.82mm wide and 1.86mm thick. The bezel of the ring is oval in shape, being 17.48mm long and 8.98mm wide and is integral to the ring, not cast separately. It is crudely decorated with a grooved line border, within which is the letter W.
