An incomplete cast copper-alloy pot leg from a cooking vessel. The leg  has an irregular trilobed cross-section. The front a central rounded, longitudinal rib. It has old irregular breaks at both ends.   Date: Medieval to Post Medieval - c.1200-1700 AD. Tertiary waste flake. Grey Portland chert with a low gloss patina. Large striking platform at the proximal end. The distal end has been snapped off. Bulb of percussion with bulbar scar and waves of percussion on the ventral face. Numerous longitudinal flaking scars on the dorsal face. Probably waste from blade production.

Large chert core. A bi-facially worked core of grey brown and light grey banded chert. There is a small area of yellowish limestone cortex one face. The flaking scars are mainly linear and elongated. 1 sherd of early medieval coarseware. The fabric is reduced and pale grey except for the oxidised exterior surface which is orangey-red. It contains abundant poorly sorted temper of rounded quartz sand, flint, chert and calcareous pieces (up to 5 mm). The inclusions are prominemt and protruce through the surface of the vessel. An incomplete copper alloy lozenge shaped seal box lid dating c. AD 100-300. The lid has a recessed panel on the front with two concentric circles. The central ring contains pale green enamel. A collared lobe, which would have formed the hinge which attached the lid to the box, projects from the top of the lid.  At the bottom of the lozenge is a roughly horizontal break. The lid has a dark brown patina. Reference: A similar example can be found on the database: LIN-EE9F08 Date: Roman Dimensions: 25.16 mm x 23.90 mm x 2 21mm. Weight: 2.51 g.

An incomplete copper-alloy double looped buckle dating to c.1550-1650. The frame consists of two oval loops divided by a central bar. The loops are D-shaped and convex on the front and flat on the rear. The outer edge of the loop is decorated with moulded transverse line decoration. A section of the top of one loop is missing. A copper alloy nutcracker fragment. The object comprises the upper end of one arm of a pair of nutcrackers. The single point hinge at the head remains in the form of a rounded lug. The head is semi-hexagonal in plan on the obverse and is decorated with a floral pattern. A complete copper alloy Trumpet style bow brooch. The trumpet shaped head is smooth and tapers towards the bow. A gilded copper alloy book clasp probably of 18th century date. The clasp comprises two thin plates which are connected by a central hinge. From the hinge the lower plate narrows initially and then expands to form two symetrical projections. From these projections the sides narrow into a straight section of approximately one centimetre with bevelled edges.
