A  fragment of copper alloy with a design on one surface. The design seems to be part of the reverse of a stater of the British Iron Age, South Western uninscribed (Durotrigian) type. It comprises a group of circular recesses and two crescent-shaped recesses below. This would be equivalent to the raised pellet and two raised crescents seen on such staters (the crescents being the belly of a stylised horse. The frame and strap bar form the two symmetrical loops. There is a lozenge shaped knop with a raised moulded lozenge decoration on the outside edge of both loops. The narrowed strap bar has a trapeziodal cross section and moulded trefoil decoration at either end. A fragment of a Roman ceramic vessel base, dating to c AD260 - 400. It is a hard grey fabric, without inclusions. There is evidence of a dark grey or brown wash. The find has an incised pattern, on both sides, of four stylised unlinked drop shapes, two straight lines of different lengths, extending across the diameter, and two small double annulets. A fragment of a possibly Middle Bronze Age copper alloy blade, perhaps a rapier dating to c. 1400-1100 BC. Only a very small part survives, a sub rectangular piece with early breaks at both ends. It both tapers and narrows along its length. It has a mid green patina. A small triangular section of the outer surface is missing on one side, but this is probably damage or decay, not decoration.
