A Medieval copper alloy buckle plate, probably dating to c. AD 1100-1500. The plate is subrectangular and consists of copper alloy sheet, it is expanded at the fold to accommodate a lost bar, with a circular perforation below the bar, for a lost pin. The plate is crudely perforated three times by separate copper alloy rivets, arranged in a triangle with one rivet at the centre of the attachment end. Length 23.4mm; Width 16.0mm; Thickness 5.2mm; Weight 2.87g.

The head of the brooch is rolled forward to hold an iron axis bar with a rectangular slot cut into the reverse of the head to accommodate a hinged pin, which survives. A Roman copper alloy hod hill brooch, dating to AD 43-75. The brooch survives only as a fragment, consisting of the foot and lower bow. The bow appears to have originally been sub-square in plan, truncated by an irregular break on the upper edge, and with further breaks on the sides. The surviving portion of the bow is moulded into four longitudinal ribs. The lower bow is plain and tapers into a collared knop. An incomplete cathplate projects from the reverse.
