An incomplete lead Pilgrim's ampulla. There is a ragged vertical cut along one side which has removed part of the neck and chamber. The neck is slightly flaring to the opening at the top. A large copper alloy circular mount  dating to the later 14th to 15th century. The mount has a moulded, decorated front with a interlaced six pointed star (Seal of Solomon) filling most of the field. In the cell in the centre of the star is an enface lions head. The lion has rounded ears, moulded eyes, nose and muzzle, sticking out tongue and incised lines to the top, side and base indicating the mane. A copper alloy hooked mount. The mount has a trefoil openwork plate with a circular attachment hole in the top foil. There are circular holes through the side foils with a lozengiform aperture below.
