A copper alloy probable candle holder. The object is in the form of a stylised cockerel with an integral conical socket, The bird has a long neck with a small, beaked head with stylised comb and wattle. There are moulded crescentic ridges on the sides of the body to indicate wings. The body extends downwards into a pair of legs, each with an angled joint and one complete with an expanded crescent shaped foot. It also extends back into a curved, spilt tail, with hooked ends.
