An incomplete cast lead or lead alloy weight of probable later Medieval or Post Medieval date (1350 - 1700). The weight is circular with one edge missing possibly cut. A sub-rectangular hole has been cut / or more likely cast through the centre. This hole has been filled with a fragment of clear glass. The weight is a mid grey colour with a relatively even and corroded patina that covers all surfaces. A light active powdery corrosion product is present on all surfaces. An almost complete copper-alloy post-medieval trade weight (19th century), dating to AD 1834-1849. The upper surface has a wide and high rim. The reverse has a a central depression, around which a rim covered in concentric circular turning rings indicating finishing on a lathe. Within the rim on the upper surface, the field  is stamped centrally with a crowned GB with a slightly offset IV beneath indicating George IV (1820-1830). The weight is stamped with the following marks: a crowned 'EL' (for Elizabeth I) and a sword (the sword of St. Paul for the City of London Guildhall) at 6 o'clock, and a ewer (for the London Founder's Company) at 12 o'clock. A complete lead conical weight dating to the medieval or post-medieval periods, c. AD 1350-1800. The weight has a small, uniform central perforation (diameter: 4.28mm) that runs through its centre vertically. It has a flat base and curved top, and a thick white patina with some old linear incisions in a random arrangement, possibly damage instead of deliberate decoration.  Height: 33.00mm, diameter at base: 27.50mm. The front face is stamped with a crowned C at 10 o'clock, a sword pointing upwards at 11 o'clock, a capital letter A at 1 o'clock, and a ewer at 6 o'clock. A post medieval copper alloy trade weight dating to c.  AD 1600-1700.  The object is circular in shape with a markedly raised flan. It bears a number of different markings, composed of two cross-within-circle designs, the initials W L and a large central capital D at the 6 o'clock position. This capital D suggests the weight was made and approved in Dorchester. Measurements: 24.8mm diameter, weight 13.0g.

The object is formed in the shape of a fish, a pointed oval form with a waisted tail which is more rectilinear in shape.
