The object is a vessel lid. It is sub circular in plan, with a sub-semi circular platform protruding from one edge. There are at least 5 very small angular protrusions which are probably decorative. The upper surface is slightly convex, the under surface is concave. Only the upper surface is decorated. The decoration is in the form of ‘ring and dots’ forming a border around the edge, and an inner circle which has trefoils of ‘ring and dot’ designs in the centre.
