It has an old irregular break at the lower end. The leg widens and spreads outwards at the base to create the foot which is mostly lost to breaks or wear. A fragment of a medieval copper alloy vessel handle from a tripod cauldron. The handle is cylindrical with an angled break at the end which indicates that this is part of an angled lug from the top of a cauldron. At the opposite end is a fragment of the vessel rim and body. The rim is pointed with an internal bead and the internal surface is very smooth. The surface of the handle is rough and sooted. The breaks are worn.
