A fragment of a cast copper alloy vessel dating to c.1200-1700. The object is the leg of a vessel or pot and has a D-shaped section with three cast vertical ridges and rounded foot. The back is hollowed. Crudely made cast copper alloy vessels were widely used throughout the Medieval and Post-Medieval periods for serving and cooking (Butler et al 2009). Date: Medieval to Post Medieval. Dimensions: 50.3mm x 31.9mm x 22.9mm. Weight: 100.58g.
