Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
Silver implement, perhaps a pair of tongs, shaped like a small pair of scissors with looped handles and hinge. One foot opening out in large petal-shaped terminal, the other with a much smaller circular, flattened end. The object opens and shuts with pincer movement but its function is uncertain. The find probably dates to later than 1710 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
