A large circular sectioned biconical steelyard weight with the stub of an iron suspension loop at the top. The weight is asymmetrical, the top half being more steeply conical and pointed, the lower half more gently rounded. The weight is undecorated. Date: Probably Roman - c. A lead and copper alloy steelyard weight in the form of a quarter-length bust, possibly of boy satyr, attached to the flat face of a large hemishpere of lead with a sheet of copper alloy on the between. The bust has long hair gathered up in a Harpocrates-style top-knot worn widely by children whilst two thick curls run down each side of his head. The hair at the back is parted down the centre and waved. The face is crudely cast and asymmetrical. It is rounded with large cheeks and very little chin. A fragment of copper alloy steelyard weight with heraldic decoration. Fragments of the wall of the globular, hollow weight only. Originally the weightwould have been filled with lead. The fragment is decorated with a raised shield-shaped boss with indistinct decoration which may be a crude version of the Eagle displayed emblem seen on similar weights. The upper part of the fragments are decorated with two incised parallel grooves containing an incised double stranded zig zag pattern. A copper alloy steelyard weight with lead core. The weight is globular, almost pear-shaped, and undecorated except for a collar f two ridges around the suspension loop. Part way down the body, at the widest part, is a small smoothed area of lead which may be a pouring hole where the lead was added. On the base is another, larger and more irregular smoothed area of lead, possibly where there was a vent (accidental or intentional). At the top is an inverted U-shaped suspension loop.
