Ornate copper alloy scissor handles with iron corrosion. They originally had iron blades. They have oval finger loops which are broken. The shafts are decorated with two rectilinear bosses on each, with incised cross-hatched decoration. There is some decoration where the shafts intersect.The shafts taper towards the loops. The shafts are joined by an iron pin/rivet. Traces of separate iron blades remain

A part of a pair of Post Medieval scissors. One half of the handles comprosing a single finger-loop offset from the arm which ends in a broken angled hinge. The arm is highly decorated, with three square-section bosses decorated with grooves top and bottom and with incised line decoration (cross-hatching on the middle boss, an asterisk on the upper boss and probably foliar pattern on the lower boss) on the upper and lower faces.
