An almost complete enamelled disc brooch. The pin is broken. The plate of the brooch is circular and flat. It is decorated with two fields of enamel. The outer field is framed by a metal reserve around the circumference of the disc and is bounded on the inside by another reserve in the form of a five pointed star with a pellet end to each point and incurved edges. There are traces of turquoise-green enamel in in this field. Inside this is another recess around a central pellet of reserved metal. A copper alloy plate brooch . The brooch is flat and oval. It has a raised concentric raised reserves forming two concentric recesses which probably held enamel. On the rverse are the single pierced lug and the hooked catcplate, set opposite eack other on the longitudinal axis. Attached to the lug is the single-piece sprung pin. The spring has two coils on one side and one on the other with a looped chord connecting them. The shaft of the pin tapers to a rounded point. A Roman copper alloy oval gilded plate brooch dating to c AD 200-350. The brooch is nearly complete but is missing the pin and the central 'gem' is damaged. The brooch is oval with two gilded zones of decoration around a central zone with a black glass oval stone which is conical rising to a point in the centre. The glass stone is damaged at one side. A copper alloy disc brooch with a glass intaglio. The brooch is circular with a raised rim around the outer edge and a concentric raised rim inside this holding a circular green glass intaglio. The intaglio has a deeply incised design of a winged Victory advancing left, holding a wreth above another device (possibly a modius). The edges of the intaglio are bevelled. A Roman copper alloy plate brooch of the centre boss type, with traces of gilding. The plate is oval in shape with a central black glass boss, also oval. This is slightly chipped but was formerly conical. The pattern around the central boss is indistinct, but may have been spirals. The back is flat and has been tinned or silvered. Arranged at opposite ends on the longitudinal axis are the incomplete sprung pin with its attachment lugs and the small, hooked catchplate. The catchplate is slightly bent.
