A complete Middle Bronze Age unlooped primary / early palstave of Group 1 (following Schmidt and Burgess 1981), 157mm in length. The palstave has a low stop (17.1 thick) fused with flanges along the sides which taper smoothly back to the butt providing a lenticular side profile. The blade is wedge-shaped, with slightly concave sides and flares to approximately 53.3mm in width at the rounded cutting edge. There are traces of midribs along the blade and possible traces of a shield decoration on one face to the front of the stop. The surface has mostly been lost.

An incomplete palstave axehead in two pieces. The palstave has kite-shaped flanges (incomplete) which taper towards the angled butt.The stop ridges are very slightly crescentic and the same height as the flanges. An incomplete and heavily corroded cast copper alloy palstave axehead.The butt is missing following a recent break. The side flanges are largely missing to old breaks, but what remains suggests they were lozenge-shaped and low.. A Middle to Late Bronze Age palstave axehead of Transitional or Late type, dating to the Penard or Wilburton phase (MBA III to LBA I; 1100 - 900 BC). The stop ridge is almost halfway between cutting edge and butt end (giving a long butt end) and both faces feature a high stop ridge and prominent central mid-rib, the face angled to either side. A fragment of a Middle Bronze Age copper-alloy palstave (c 1600 BC - c 1001 BC). This blade fragment is rectangular in cross section with convex sides. From the old transverse break at the top, the sides flare evenly to the cutting edge which is evenly curved in plan. No casting seams or decoration are present. This palstave has a green patina.. A fragment of a Middle Bronze Age palstave. The piece, which represents the top of the implement, is wedge-shaped, its thickness gradually decreasing towards the rounded apex. Parts of the right-angled side flanges can be seen on both the front and back of the piece. The break is well patinated, indicating that the damage occurred in antiquity. A small, corroded cast copper-alloy fragment probably comprising the butt of a palstave axe of Middle Bronze Age date. The object is sub-trapezoidal in form, with a ragged break. It narrows from its maximum thickness at the break to a minimum at the terminal. Emergent flanges are faintly visible at the sides. The object has a dark-green patina where it survives; it is otherwise light green or orange/brown as a result of corrosion.

There is some damage to the blade and the flanges and septum are incomplete. Only the stub of the side loop remains. The axe has broken acroos the septum just in front of the stop ridges. Viewed at the break it can be seen that the casting was very bubbly, probably causing the weakness that caused the break to occur at this point. There is a faint casting ridge along the centre of the sides of the flanges. The flanges are high, with the tops on one side being somewhat more worn and re-shaped than the other side. A cast copper alloy palstave of Middle Bronze Age date. The unlooped palstave measures 120mm in length by 62.8mm (width across cutting edge) by 30.6mm and weighs 307g. The widely splayed cutting edge is crescentic with well-defined slightly squared blade tips. The butt is slightly expanded and the end is damaged with a small part missing. The stop ridge is squared and the side flanges are rounded and taper to a point at the butt end. This palstave is an example of the Acton Park 'shield-pattern' type.

A copper alloy palstave axe of Middle Bronze Age date. It is complete with high, curving flanges and a deep hafting recess with high, concave stops. The sides flare out into the crescent shaped blade, the surface of which is slightly rippled. Casting ridges are visible on both of the flanged sides. Much of the original surface is retained under iron deposits generated by soil conditions. Dimensions: 148.5 mm x 61.93 mm x 35.75 mm.
