An incomplete copper alloy and iron padlock. The padlock is circular with a flat, rectangular cross-section. It has a front and back plate with the remains of the iron locking mechanism inside. The incomplete back plate is integral with the vertical sides forming an open box. The front plate is separately applied to the sides and closes the box. Each of the two plates have two, rounded, pierced lugs/lobes, one at 2 o' clock and the other at 10 o' clock. Both sets of lugs contain the remains of iron components. An incomplete copper alloy combination padlock. The lock comprises a cylindrical case made up of five rotating discs, each of which would originally have rotated around a central axis to allow the letter combination to be achieved, and a fixed disc at each end. The remains of the axis bar can be seen within the discs which are now corroded in place. The fixed discs at either end would have held the rotating ones in place. An incomplete cast copper-alloy front plate from a padlock of post-medieval date. It is circular in form with two protruding lugs at the top. The bar or mechanism was made of iron given the orange corrosion product found on one side of the plate. Arranged longitudinally down the centre of both faces is an incised rectangular section. This is divided into three squares with incised double linear borders and incised crosses. Very small padlock, Trefoil shape. Loop at top was made of iron and is now missing. Front and back have a central longitudinal rectangular ridge. The front ridge has a moveable mid section which covers the keyhole. The padlock is decorated front and back with a ring and dot each side of the ridge and three incised double saltires along each ridge.
