A copper-alloy lace tag of a probable Medieval date, circa 1230-1400. The tag has been constructed from a piece of sheet metal which has been rolled, edge to edge, to create a cylinder, with the seam twisted. There is no evidence of an opening at the top, so this may be an unfinished piece. The object has a dark green patina and some soil impaction. Length of tag: 21.60 mm. Diameter: 3.27 mm. Weight: 0.583 grams. Reference: G.Egan.& F. Pritchard. Dress Accessories 1150-1450. Pages 282 & 284.
