A complete sheet copper-alloy hilt-plate or end plate from a Medieval - Post Medieval whittle-tang knife or possibly a rove for a folded sheet rivet. The object is a piece of flat copper alloy sheet, quatrefoil in design with an off centre sub-rectangular slot through it. The slot has rounded ends. the object is folded and is a greyish green colour with no decoration. An incomplete copper alloy quillon or guard, probably from a small dagger or knife date to the 13-15th century. The object has a flat elongated sub-ovate shape with a curved profile, one side is missing to a break. In the centre, is a small worn rectangular perforation measuring 5.37mm in length and 2.60mm in width. As complete, the perforation would have served as the slot through which the blade would have slotted into the grip. A Medieval to Post-Medieval copper alloy composite knife terminal, probably dating to c. AD 1400-1600. The object comprises of a single piece of copper alloy sheet folded around to meet at a soldered join, although it has now broken to the left of this, creating a hollow, sub-rectangular body, with a slightly flared lip at the top edge. A medieval or post medieval knife stop dating to the period c. AD 1450 - 1650. The knife stop is trapeziodal in plan and triangular in profile. It splits to house the corroded remains of the iron tang. The tang projects from the stop and tyerminates in an old break. The stop exhibits a series of incised horizontal grooves on both sides. The knife stop measures 15.99mm in length, 18.67mm maximum width, 15.99 minimum width, 7.77mm maximum thickness, 4.52mm minimum thickness and weighs 7.82g. Cf. Read, B, 2001, p. 88, no. 645.

A cast copper alloy knife end-cap or stop. A zoomorphic end-cap in the form of a stylised animal's head, possibly imitating a heraldic emblem such as a bear or dog's head. The details are marked by incised lines around the snub nose and mouth and across the brow. The eyes are indicated by two deep circular recesses. At the base of the stop is a remnant of the iron tang of the knife, the handle of which this once decorated. A lead alloy end stop from a late medieval knife. The end stop is hollow and cylindrical with an oval cross section. It has been made from pieces of sheet lead alloy which have been soldered together. It measures 26.34mm in length and the cross section is 13.5mm by 10.79mm at the slightly flared distal end. It weighs 4.73g. The surfaces of the end cap are worn, but there are hints of gilding and the faint outlines of two standing figures on the curving side. These may be saints. The end stop from a late medieval or early post-medieval knife, measuring 22.12mm by 17.9mm by 8mm and weighing 12.04g. The object is T-shaped, with a rounded proximal end. This has a tapering scalloped edge. At the other end is a slot, 7mm by 2mm, in which are the remains of the knife's iron tang. A small part of the tang protrudes from the end of the slot. The object is quite worn, but some simple decoration can be seen.
