4 overted jar rim sherds of Black Burnished ware type, South Western BB fabric imitating Poole/Wareham black burnished wares (the source is possibly Devon). Sandwich fired reduced dark grey fabric with lighter grey bands near the surfaces. Tempered with abundant fine sand. The surfaces are coated with a heavy black slip. The sherds are abraded. Handmade vessels. Date: Roman - 1st to 4th century Weight: 119.69g

3 rim sherds of Black Burnished ware. Grey to black reduced fabric (1 sherd has a red oxidised fabric with a reduced grey to black core) with abundant rounded quartz sand temper. The sherds have overted jar rims and the surfaces are generally burnished. Poole/Wareham fabric. All the sherds are slightly abraded. The vessels were handmade. Date: Roman - 2nd to 4th century Weight: 20.72g
