Discovery: Found on 14th May 2020 and reported to Ciorstaidh Hayward Trevarthen, Finds Liaison Officer for Dorset. 1] Axehead. A complete cast palstave axe head. The axehead has high side flanges which are lozenge-shaped in profile and are fused to the stop ridge. The tops of the flanges on both sides project above the stop, creating wing-like patterns.  The stop ridges are rounded at the top, on one side the ridge is curved, while the other is straight. Middle Bronze Age ornament hoard Date: c. 1400-1100 cal BC Twisted spiral torcs/bracelets 1: An incomplete Middle Bronze Age cast copper alloy spiral-twisted torc dating to the ornament horizon (1400-1250 cal BC). Possibly only half of the torc survives due to a transverse break at its middle, the surviving portion consisting of a twisted body capped by a hooked terminal. The main body of the torc is rectangular in section with accentuated corners created by slightly concave edges. The four objects were found within a small area (between 4 and 10 inches depth) on cultivated stubble, with ‘no other materials nearby’. Note The latest coins were of Gordian III. One of either TR P IIII or V (i.e. up to AD 242), and the other, undated, type of Hercules probably slightly earlier.
