A curvilinear copper-alloy coat hook or other furniture fitting, with a heron-like bird's head terminal. The attachment end is flared and rectangular with the remnants of an iron spike.Modern, 18th to 19th century.
Fragments of such finds have in the past proved hard to identify, and so this example has been included on the database for illustrative purposes.

Lead alloy object. Fragment of possible decorative MOUNT.Half of a probably sub-angular disc of lead alloy with cast decoration on one surface. The decoration appears to be an urn-like or baluster shape. The object has been cut in half. The back is undecorated.
