A tertiary flint flake. A core rejuvenation flake removed from the base of a core to create a new striking platform. Dark blue-grey flint with a glossy, milky patina. There is a bulb of percussion with a bulbar scar ventrally and a wide striking platform. The dorsal face has numerous flaking scars converging off centre at what was the base of the core. The flake has also been re-worked at the distal edge, possibly to make a borer or awl. Date: Neolithic (probably) Dimensions: 29 mm x 24 mm x 9 mm Weight: 5 g
