Copper alloy sub-rectangular object, probably a mount or fitting. The object is broken off at one end and tapers slightly to the other end (W. 16.2-13.1mm). At the unbroken end the corners are rounded, although one is more rounded than the other. The edge at this end is also generally convex. There is a wide moulded groove (W. c.4mm) on the upper surface c.5.5mm from the convex end. The upper surface is otherwise undecorated. An area of the reverse measuring 10.5mm from the convex end is flat, while the remaining area is concave. There is no evidence of decoration on the reverse…
