A corroded, abraded and now incomplete post-medieval cast copper-alloy dress fastener eye-piece (16-17th century AD). It has an oval plate orientated transversely with three small circular loops for attachment by sewing and one larger loop which engaged with the hook-piece. The sewing loops are located one centrally at the base, now abraded through, two at the other end flanking the main loop, protruding to each side, one broken through.
