An incomplete copper alloy double-hooked dress fastener. The fastener comprises a central, solid, cylindrical body with a large circular hole through the transverse axis. The cylinder tapers slightly towards the flat ends.The surface is decorated with slightly irregular incised rectangular cross hatching. From the base fo the plate there is a flat, rectangular extension which is folded forward to form a hook but which is now broken. A silver gilt dress fastener. A hook piece applied decoration on the plate. The back plate is tri-lobed with scalloped edges around the lobes and a small knop between them.
