Description:  An incomplete silver cuff link element. A disc from one end of a cufflink originally joined with a loop to another, matching element. The disc has an angled rim which is missing and damaged in places. On the front is a raised design of a pair of clasped hands with lace cuffs at the wrists, two hearts below and a crown above. Corresponding recessed areas on the back suggest the design was stamped. Soldered to the centre of the rear is a circular sectioned wire loop. There is no visible makers mark. A post medieval copper-alloy cufflink, dating to c. AD 1662 - 1714. The object comprises of a single cufflink which is circular in plan, the underside has an integral attachment loop. The upper surfaces of the discs are stamped from behind with two hearts and a crown above on a stippled background. A Silver cufflink. The object comprises two discs with loops at the rear, joined by a silver chain link. The discs are circular with down turned edges, now bent out of shape in places. The upper surfaces of the discs are decorated with two hearts and a crown above on a stippled background.
