A pale grey flint core possibly from the Early to Mid Mesolithic. it is roughly 'conical in shape and shows evidence that at least 1 and possibly 5 flakes have been removed from it. The rear still includes a large area of cortex with a rough stepped surface. The other surfaces appear to be patinated to several shades of pale grey and there is some evidence of iron staining. Length 41mm Width 26mm Thickness 27mm Weight 23g
