A worn uninscribed copper-alloy Iron Age stater of the Durotriges, South Western region, dating from c. 65 BC to AD 45. The coin is of the "Cranborne Chase" type. Due to wear, the shape of the coin is sub-triangular - like that of a shield. On the obverse, all that remains is a vertical pin shape that covers almost half the surface, with a wide crescent above it and another narrow crescent shape to the right of this. Near the bottom right hand edge of the obverse, are a group of worn pellets.
