A heavily clipped silver Roman siliqua of the House of Theodosius, possibly Arcadius, probably dating to the period c.AD 395-402 (Reece period 21). VIRTVS ROMANORVM reverse type depicting Roma seated left on cuirass holding Victory on globe and spear. Unclear mint, probably Milan. cf. RIC X no. 1227; Hoxne no. 705ff. The coin measures 17mm in diameter, 1.18 g in weight, and with a die axis of 12 o'clock.
