A silver groat of Henry VI (AD 1422-1461, 1470-71) dating to AD 1422-1427. HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGLIE Z FRANC obverse depicting a crowned head facing, annulets at neck and fleur on breast.  POSVI DEVM ADIVTORE MEVM / VILLA CALISIE reverse depicting a long cross with three pellets pellets in each quarter and an annulet in two quarters.  Initial marks are crosses I/I.  Mint of Calais.  North (1991) p 74, no 1424 Dimensions: 27.4mm in diameter; 0.7mm thick; 3.68g in weight.
