The coins consist of 393 nummi (including fragments) dating from the period AD317 to AD 333. A number of the coins were incomplete and had the appearance of being cut deliberately rather than through damage; although mechanical damage through ploughing cannot be ruled out it is uncommon in hoards of nummi of this date.
