A complete, copper alloy annular brooch dating to c. AD 1100-1500. The brooch has a circular frame with a pointed projection on the bottom edge. It is decorated on each side of the projected end with a cross, the crosses are different in style. The two sides of the brooch are different. The upper part of a cast copper alloy openwork plate brooch of composite geometric shape dating to AD 100 - 225. The brooch is flat and has a semi-circular upper part with a raised horizontal strip across the middle and two stubs, one longer than the other, of a further shape below the strip. An incomplete copper alloy bow brooch of Aesica type. The pin and part of the wings are missing. The short open wings concealed the missing bar for the mechanism for the pin. The axis bar would have passed through a circular aperture in the rearward lug which projects from behind the middle of the wings. There are traces of iron corrosion product on this lug and the wings, indicating an iron axis bar.
