A copper-alloy Roman bow brooch fragment consisting of the catchplate and lower part of the bow. The remaining bow tapers to a pointed foot. The catchplate is unperforated and has a rolled outer side. The style and shape suggest a T-shape brooch of c.AD 50-125. It is of cast construction and has a matt green patina. Reference: Richard Hattatt. ANCIENT AND ROMANO-BRITISH BROOCHES. Page 66 Dolphin brooches. Length of brooch: 30.33mm. Width: 11.67 mm. Thickness 4.23 mm. Weight: 2.348 grams.

An incomplete Hod Hill brooch made from copper alloy. The head and partial bow survive. At the head are the folded wings which housed the axis bar for a missing hinged pin mechanism. There are traces of iron corrosion, possibly from an iron axis bar. The incomplete bow is decorated with a wide longitudinal groove flanked by raised edges. At the sides are a series of small copper alloy projections, similar to the side projections seen on Bagendon type brooches. An incomplete copper-alloy open-frame brooch of medieval date. nly c.50% of the once-circular frame survives, including the pin constriction. The pin is missing. The frame has a flat back and a convex front with evidence of a inscription , but corrosion/wear has rendered this almost illegible.The object has a pitted dark green patina. Dimensions are: Diameter c. 42.82 mm. Thickness 3.45 mm. Width 7.22 mm. Weight 6.026 grams. Reference PAS BH-8EF4F1.

A copper-alloy pin from a medieval open-frame brooch. The pin is sub-rectangular in cross section, with a raised 'grip' beneath the loop. This loop is intact and has a diameter of c.5 mm, with a gap of 2.5 mm. The tip has corroded/worn leaving a flat end, rather than the soft point usually seen. The object has an olive green patina with some deterioration to the loop. Dimensions are. Length 44 mm. Width 4.3 mm. Thickness 3.2 mm. Weight 5.006 grams.

A Roman mid 1st to mid 2nd century copper alloy developed T-shaped brooch. The bow is lozenge shaped, solid and tapered towards the foot. The bow has a sub-circular cell divided by a raised cross saltire creating four triangular cells, two filled with red enamel and two with yellow enamel, although this may not of been the original colours.Above the cell there is a raised central ridge running up towards the wings.
