A crested blade which has been adapted to make an awl or borer. A crude crested blade of dark grey brown translucent flint with an area of abraded nodule cortex and a low gloss patina. Both the proximal and distal ends of the original flake have been removed. The dorsal face is crested and the edges have been worked from the ventral face. Crested blades are created in preparing a blade core in order to get a more predictable strike. There is some crude abrupt retouch at the distal end, probably in order to shape the flake into an awl.
