Copper alloy jetton of Louis XIV of France (1643-1715). Produced by Wolf Laufer II (1612-1651) in Nuremberg from 1643 to 1650. There are three examples in Mitchiner all from the same die (1988, nos. 1734-1735). It has been perforated for suspension in the post medieval period and the hole is 3 mm in diameter. Mitchiner 1734-1735.
